“Star Trek” reboot stars Leonard Nimoy and Michael Dorn will be returning to the role of the Enterprise crew on the new “Star Wars: Episode IX” film.
The cast and crew of the show, which premiered on “The Next Generation” in 2001, have already begun to share their opinions on the film, which is set for a March 2019 release.
“We’re all excited to be back,” Nimoy said in a recent interview with Variety.
“We’re just hoping to be able to play our old friends.
We’re just trying to make sure we’re all as happy and comfortable with the movie as we possibly can be.”
Dorn, who played Spock in “Starring Spock” on “StarTrek,” also expressed his excitement for “StarWars: Episode 9,” calling the franchise “my favorite film ever.”
“It’s going to be amazing to be part of a franchise that has been around for so long,” he said.
“I’ve been lucky enough to have worked on a lot of really great films and a lot that I’m very proud of.
I have a lot to be proud of, and it’s going be really fun to be a part of it.”
