Google NewsIndia – 12:56PM ISTThe daily register of the Indian Express has covered the death and burial of former prime minister J. P. Gowdi (Daily Express) after his body was found hanging from a tree at a park in the western city of Ahmedabad on Saturday.
The death notice stated that Mr Gowdi had died on Saturday evening in Ahmedabad.
It added that the deceased had a heart ailment and a lung disease.
The notice also stated that he had been a regular visitor of the park and had not been at work or school.
It added that Mr. Gowdia’s body had been found by the park guards on Friday night after his family had complained about him not being there.
Mr Gowda had worked as the Union Minister of Mines and Energy and had served as the Minister of Power and Coal.
The news came as a surprise to Mr Gowda’s family.
They had been waiting for news of the body’s death for weeks.
