In the wake of a massive hack of the Square Register, the company is now asking employees to register their accounts to use the service as a way to ensure the company has a record of their actions.
Square has long maintained that the system it built to allow users to securely register their own accounts with Square has proved more secure than any previous system.
The company has not revealed the number of accounts it currently has in place, but its data suggests it could be as high as 10 million.
The new system allows Square to keep track of which users have registered for the service, and to track whether they’ve been suspended, or removed from the platform altogether.
The Square Register was originally designed for companies to register for Square’s popular payment system, but Square now has an additional layer of protection that allows it to track and remove accounts from a wide variety of sources.
The feature, which will be available starting on Tuesday, requires the Square user to first log into the service to make their registration.
The new system is currently only available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Chinese.
